The
400 Ton FMS has a range of slip assemblies and guides
to handle 3 1⁄2” to 8” pipe. Each die
set has a grip diameter range of 1”. A hydraulic
power down force feature for setting slip assemblies allows
the spider to take the torque reaction of the tong even
when string weight alone is insufficient to resist rotating.
Also, the power down feature has the added benefit of
eliminating the need for a safety collar on the first
few joints. Die sets are available with Grit Coated and/or
Straight Tooth.
The
400 Ton FMS is configured as a split bushing type of tool.
This permits removal of the spider
from the rotary (one half
at a time) with the elevator supporting the tubing/casing
string. Hydraulic connections are located at the top of
the spider allowing for quick connect and disconnect as
well as
maintenance while in the rotary.
The
400 Ton FMS features a 6” Opening
for Umbilical & Control Lines.
